Online Session on Engineering Careers

An online interaction session was held between the cadets of MCSK and Prof. Dr. Aminul Islam, Associate Professor and Head of Studies at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), on 31 August. Prof. Islam, an alumnus of a cadet college and BUET graduate, shared his inspiring journey from a curious student to a university professor. Speaking on “What Engineers Actually Do? Is Engineering for Me?”, he highlighted the importance of engineering and discussed how students can prepare themselves for an engineering career from an early age. During the interaction, he emphasized that academic excellence is important, but good results alone cannot ensure success. He encouraged cadets to develop communication, teamwork, creativity and other essential skills. Reflecting on his own cadet life, he expressed regret that he should have participated more actively in co-curricular activities.
